We made it into August! Today we worked on a variety of projects. First we looked into a variety of websites that covered the topic of milk and saw the diversity of ways a topic can be presented on the web. To test our own skills in web literacy, we researched topics relating to our projects from a variety of news sources and then came back to share them. Jane presented some footage she had recently taken to demonstrate the time needed behind the camera and the fun filler shots you can achieve in one day. We also discussed the importance of audio in a film and discussed tactics to getting good audio. Roger came in to demo the program Fruity Loops and a member of each group became an expert on this programs beginning to create some of their own music. The remaining interns then set out our selves to create an interesting “sound scape”. Returning to the classroom and listening to them was fun trying to pick out what the noises were without the visuals.
